FieldPower - The FieldPower for BlackBerry® mobile application works in conjunction with the FieldPower Web Application to provide customers with total Field Operations Management control.
The FieldPower for BlackBerry® mobile application enables field engineers to update the server from the field. Not only can details like status, remarks, reasons and request be passed across to the server, the mobile application also provides the field engineer with details like jobs to be done, who is the customer, time and date of each job, what is the job that needs to be done, history of jobs with the customer, current status, special instructions sent by the call center operator, contact person and alarms when each job time is closing in.
The mobile application works via GPRS/EDGE/3G or WiFi to connect to the web service hosted in the FieldPower server. And for messages or job’s that are created/changed in the server, FieldPower leverages BlackBerry® Enterprise Server to use Push Technology to push messages across to the BlackBerry® device. This enables the BlackBerry® device to have live, real time, synchronized data between the device and the server. Any ticket created in the server is pushed across to the device and if the field engineer does not accept it in 5 minutes an alert is sounded to ensure the attention of the field engineer.
FieldPower is capable of Work Order creation, Schedule Optimization, Real Time Dispatch, Inventory handling and reporting. And these features are extended to the personnals in the field using FieldPower for BlackBerry® Mobile.
